Preparation for the January 3rd, 2026 Full Moon on the Capricorn–Cancer Axis (Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Cancer).

Welcome to the first Full Moon of the New Year meeting, also the first 2026 meeting dedicated to healing the healer. Today, it’s about the Capricorn–Cancer axis. You should have time to watch this video before January 3rd, the actual Full Moon day, but anyway, as usual, you are invited to watch it whenever you want.
Before watching the video, I suggest you get some water, because we will focus particularly on the Element of the Sign in which the Moon will be that day, that is, Cancer, a Water Sign. You can drink it while I’m talking, but please, remember to leave a bit of water for the end of the meditation.
This Full Moon of our healing cycle, with the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Cancer, speaks about the need to create a clear structure with functional boundaries, ground ourselves strongly into our body, and take practical actions aligned with our mission and purpose to open ourselves to intuition, inspiration, and healing energies.
Let’s see what this might mean.
If you feel that healing is your calling, purpose, and mission, it’s essential to clarify your intentions and assess the extent to which your ego is involved. Moreover, this axis is strongly connected to inheritance, both personal and spiritual, meaning a legacy of faith, values, wisdom, and spiritual blessings passed down through generations and transmitted in a way that transcend space and time and is common to every spiritual path on Earth.
To connect to this timeless, transcendent inheritance, we need to become aware of our personal inheritance. We need to recognize our inner family inheritance to honor the gifts and resources we received from our ancestors, and release the burdens they might consciously or unintentionally have put on our shoulders.
It's like reconnecting with the ancestral wisdom of Nature, while also keeping in mind how Nature's cycles influence us, because our bodies are part of it. In the same way, our personal heritage can be both a resource, a richness, as well as a source of conditioning when we are unaware of how the past can interfere with our self-expression in the present.
The Full Moon on the Capricorn–Cancer axis invites us to reflect on our aspirations and take practical steps, with perseverance, to constantly improve ourselves, recognizing what truly belongs to us and distinguishing it from conditioning that comes from our family heritage. It asks us to open ourselves to intuition, compassion, and inspiration once we feel safe — that is, when we have laid the foundations to open ourselves to our essence, recognizing the forces that could condition us, including wounds. Returning to the theme of the Wounded Healer that we discussed when talking about the Full Moon in Pisces, if we are aware of our wounds and take care of them, they will not interfere (or will interfere much less) with our work.
Capricorn also invites us to develop independence from our need to help or nurture others, because if helping and nurturing become a "need", and if our happiness depends on the satisfaction of this need (as with any other) towards others, then we should ask ourselves how much our propensity for healing belongs to our ego, and how much our ego is interfering with our own abilities. If it's your "need", it can't be your mission.
You need to become independent from that “need” to make healing (or anything else) your authentic call, purpose, and mission, avoiding the risk of contaminating it with the needs of the ego, such as, for example, recognition.
One last thing: we don’t need to be perfect. We need to be honest and sincere with ourselves and others. Nobody can promise healing. But we can help others learn how to take care of themselves, once we have learned to take care of ourselves. Again, if we keep awareness of our wounds, then they don’t interfere (or interfere much less) with our work with others.
Now, let’s proceed with our active meditation.
In the video below, I guide you in an active meditation to embody the energy and qualities of this Full Moon.
Before you start watching, remember to get some water to drink at the end of the meditation.
The first part of the video is dedicated to the introduction, which includes some of what you’ve just read.
I suggest you watch the whole video, from the beginning, after reading this post, to receive the full transmission. Anyway, the meditation starts at 06:40.
The link to the Italian video (below the one in English) is also included in the YouTube description and in the Italian version of this post.
You can repeat this meditation any time you want to feel aligned, well-grounded, authentic, and connected to timeless spiritual wisdom.
